In addition to the white Arneis, Giovanni Almondo also produces characterful red Nebbiolo wines in Roero, Piedmont. The Roero DOCG is the estate's accessible red wine: a Nebbiolo with the typical elegance of the right bank of the Tanaro — slightly smoother and fruitier in character than the classic Barolo or Barbaresco.

Bright garnet red, with red fruit, roses, and a subtle spicy note. Refined tannins and a fresh, dry finish that reflects the typicality of Nebbiolo in Roero.
